Enid High Class of 87

OK Everyone...we are on our way!!! The reunion is September 14-15,2007. Friday night will start at 5:30 at good 'ol D.Bruce Selby Stadium under a tent on the practice field. Food will be cooked by the Grey Beards and you will pay them. Traditionally it is a hot dog/hamburger type meal and very inexpensive! This game is HOMECOMING!!! Come see the million homecoming queen candidates that now line the field pre-game...you just won't believe it! After, we plan to gather at Pastimes to catch up with old friends.

Saturday the Cherokee Strip Parade is at 10 am, we will do a tour of the high school and a group picture at 4pm, and then off to Oakwood Country Club around 7:30 for heavy hors d'oevres, and some 80's music! We are still working on the details of this day so keep checking back.

There is a golf game in the works too and should be plenty to do around town since it is the Oklahoma Centennial Celebration combined with Cherokee Strip Days. I will post that schedule later on.

The committee is planning on keeping this weekend casual, relaxed and just a good time to see a lot of faces from the past! We will send invitations with more details and cost in the coming months. Plan on joining us!

Glad to see some people are posting here! We are doing our best to find everyone so if you see someone on the missing list that you know and can find please let us know. Laurie Price Blodgett, Steve Bleakley and Mrs. Brown (at the alumni office) are doing a fantastic job of helping me find people, but every time we find one or two I get another postcard back in the mail! So check back often and make sure you don't know anyone on the list. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone, hope you all are too. See ya soon, Denise

Hey all, cannot wait to see everyone, especially since I missed our 10th...we (the committee) talked about the possibility of going out to the Indian Creek Winery (started by our own Jynni Lewis (Mahoney now) with her dad) and I have learned that they have live music on Sunday afternoons SO if you have the time to hang around, it will be a wonderfully relaxing cap to what we hope will be a great weekend!

More details later and let me know if you are interested!

I Patrick Anderson must confess my secret man crush for Dustin DeVaughn which I have locked away in the deep pits of my heart for the last two decades. I can no longer supress my feelings as I face his boyishly handsome good looks and tight buns of steel which have been absent from my life for the last twenty years.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. I feel like sharing a little bit of the coin that I have been making as a male nurse with my classmates. So order whatever you want Friday night and tell the bartender to put it on Jeff Stewart's tab.

    Cheers,

2 more weeks....I can hardly contain myself. What can I say, not much happens when you are one of the only ones STILL in the great city of Enid. I did get away for a few years. Had a nice little life going on in OKC, but then one day I woke up with a little voice in my head saying, "Go back, Go back.....if you go back, they will come!" So I am here agian, and thanks to a good shrink, no more voices, which is a good thing. I don't know what I would have done with a baseball diamond in my back yard.

I am so excited to see everyone. Juli Cowden (McCain) is going to come with me. She didn't actually graduate with us but went to school with us for most of high school.

Thanks again Marcy and Denise for all your work! You are doing a marvolous job!

    Hello Everyone,
I can't tell you how excited I am to attend our 20th reunion! I missed our 10th, so I will have some serious catching up to do...hope there will be enough time! Thanks to all who have worked to put this together. I've been studying our senior yearbook in hopes of being able to remember names and faces (which I'm sure many have changed) as I have been terrible at keeping in touch! See everyone soon!

dont worry Dustin, what is great about the 20th is we all have our little (or in my case, big) flaws we hope people will overlook and see us instead as the radiant, hot little numbers we were back when....except for Bules who is, apparently, a new hot little number.

Fantastic! bring on the tequila so it will be less painful....LOL

I was in Enid a few months ago for a family funeral and got to thinking about the 20th (it's a 13 hour drive from Alabama). It's been a long time and a LOT has changed since the 10 year reunion for me, including work for a federal agency (not NAming nameS At this time). :)

We have a lot of family stuff going on here and with our son in Missouri, so not sure if we'll make it. If we can, we'll likely stay with my sister, Susan Shewey, and her family, if they'll have us!!! :)

I was only in Enid for the junior and senior years, but it is still a home for me. Having family there still just makes it that much more like home.

My wife and I have been in Alabama for the last 3 years and it is a big change from California, where we moved right after the 10 year reunion. Between sailing, offroading, rock climbing, ballroom dancing, collecting military rifles, photography, and scuba diving, we keep busy with things!!!

Feel free to drop me a line at skimblzbvs@yahoo.com if you'd like, though I doubt many of you remember me. :)

WOW! Since I can not begin to compete with "Tonya", Patrick, Randy and Dustin, I will sit back with Jennifer and guard the Tequilla.
I am so happy to read the posts. I pray that things are going so well for you and your families. I will be there but can not make the Thursday "Mickey's" session. I would love to spend some "quality time" with ya'll.
I still have a lot of family back in Enid and make the trip as often as possible...albeit, not often enough.
I am married now 12 years. My wife and I have 2 lovely girls (6.5 & 2.5) with a 7 week old boy. We live in a "bedroom community" just outside of Austin, TX called Round Rock.
I spent 6 years teaching and coaching before my wife and I started our own business...in 2000. Self employment comes with it's ups and downs, but I could not imagine raising a family any other way. We are in real estate finance and now have two growing operations. Between these adventures and the girls, I stay too busy to get into any serious trouble.
I missed the Ten Year Reunion due to coaching commitments so I am REALLY looking forward to this weekend. Please feel free to look me up if you are ever in Central Texas.

For those of us who cannot attend, why not set up a photobucket account or a space on the Classmates page and post photos from the various events?

It would kinda/sorta be a way for those of us unable to attend to be able to see what all has been going on and how everybody has changed.
